Còmhla, (the Gaidhlig word for “together”) are the latest band to emerge from the resurging Scottish Music scene, adopting many songs of the past and offering a fresh sound which appeal to listeners across all generations.

Formed in 2025 by singer / songwriter, Gerry MacMillan, following a decade on the wedding and function scene with former & national award winning band (2020, 2021), The Scoundrels, it was a vision of his to expand the appeal that traditional & folk music from Scotland, Ireland and all the Celtic Nations generates in the modern era.

Thorough searches across the country, tapping into the ideas and innovations of like-minded musicians, the inception of Còmhla came to life. A magical rhythm section with exploding drum beats & pulsating basslines are the foundation of the sound, accompanied by electric guitar & keyboard offering a warm, yet determined progressive rock tone, builds the emotion of the music. Above all this, the extraordinary and enchanting melodies led by fiddle, accordion, tin whistle & mandolin, topped off with powerful, raspy vocals complete the line up and positions Còmhla as the band for all the people.
